This includes:

• Improving nutrition to meet increased need of protein, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals
• Pain alleviation therapy
• Improving the patient’s general health (intake of a sufficient amount of liquid,
  good nutrition, mobilization, psychological well-being)

Appropriate local therapy is administered as part of wound management.
